aboutME
I was born in Nigeria and raised in Ethiopia, so I am eternally conflicted between jollof vs. injera. I am also the daughter of a lifelong advocate for the improvement of rural women's livelihood in Ethiopia. Therefore, I was exposed early on to the imperative role of governmental structural changes critical to creating equitable societal opportunities for minority groups. I am interested in using science to understand and promote decision-making roles for minority groups in government. Broadly, my research, teaching and service is fueled by my passion to explore the factors that engender societal inequities and implement evidence based solutions.
