This course introduces students to the field of public administration and the role of government in American society as well as the different functions of public organizations public administrators that run them.

Human Resource Management (PUAD 5220)

Spring 2017 and Fall 2018, Graduate-Level Course
This course introduces students to the themes, concepts and practices in human resource management in the public and non-profit sectors. The course also introduce students to a number of traditional and contemporary issues in public service human resource management.

Public Service Leadership and Ethics (PUAD 5006)
Spring 2019, Graduate-Level Course
This is a core course for the Master of Public Administration degree. It introduces students to theories of leadership and ethics in public administration. The course specifically introduces students to leadership theories; resolving ethical dilemmas, the practice of ethics in public organizations and, values, principles, standards in public administration. Specifically, this course introduces students to the ethical functions of public organizations and the role of public managers.
Organizational Development (PUAD 4006)
Spring 2017 and Fall 2018, Undergraduate-Level Course
This course provides students with an overview of what organization development entails, including the process of change and those that partake in it. The course also describes the process of organization development by focusing on major interventions employed to bring about desired results. The course is designed to provide students with theoretical and practical experiences on organization development and change.
